Check-in on the Checkoff: The Yield of Your Dreams is Back

There’s nothing quite like summer in Iowa. From weekends at the lake to mowing hay to driving fence lines, looking at the green fields filled with this year’s corn crop, it really is a peaceful time of year. Though the long hours in the July heat and humidity can be draining, there is always one thing that refreshes me at the end of a long day: an ice-cold beer brewed from corn grown right here in Iowa.

The Yield of Dreams brew is back for the second consecutive year; eighteen farmers from across Iowa, two from each of the Iowa corn crop reporting districts, supplied the corn that brewed the 2025 Yield of Dreams. Each Iowa Corn farmer member donated between 30-40 pounds of corn, totaling over 600 pounds of corn gathered from across the state.

The Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) is excited to once again partner with the Iowa Brewers Guild, Choose Iowa and Confluence Brewing, on this exciting collaboration. This year’s brew will make its debut at the Iowa State Fair in the Craft Beer Tent, where travelers from Iowa and beyond can enjoy the crisp, refreshing taste of beer made from Iowa corn.

Yield of Dreams will be traveling to taprooms across Iowa on August 18, so you’ll be able to enjoy the delicious brew throughout the year. To learn more about how Iowa corn is food, feed, fuel and everything in between, visit https://www.iowacorn.org/consumers/.

Thank you,

Ralph Lents
