Iowa Corn® is excited to hear the Iowa legislature passed a spending bill late Tuesday night that will provide further funding for the Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program (RFIP). The program provides cost-share grants to Iowa retailers to upgrade fueling infrastructure to offer E15, E85 and/or biodiesel blends. The program’s funding of $3 million for FY2020 was included in HF765, a bill to fund the Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund. |

The 2018-19 Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series™, which tracks head-to-head match-ups between the Iowa State Cyclones and the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, concludes Tuesday night with Iowa Corn leaders presenting the trophy to the University of Iowa at the 2019 Golden Herky Awards. The Hawkeyes won the 2018-19 Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series by a 15-10 margin. Points are awarded by each victory earning points toward the overall series championship. |

Iowa Corn announced the 16 student recipients of the Iowa Corn Future of Agriculture Scholarship program for the 2019-2020 school year. Iowa Corn awarded the sixteen (16) $1,000 one-year scholarships to deserving, qualified students enrolled at an accredited U.S. 2-year or 4-year junior college, college or university, or graduate school, in a program of study to equip them to contribute to Iowa’s agriculture industry. The program is sponsored by the Iowa Corn Growers Association® (ICGA) and the Iowa Corn Promotion Board® (ICPB). |

Iowa Corn Growers Association® (ICGA) President Curt Mether and ICGA At-Large Director Bob Hemesath testified to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the importance and impact of finalizing the proposed E15 RVP rule released earlier this month. The proposal would allow for year-round E15 sales; however, it also raises many concerns for farmers and ethanol blending due to a few renewable identification number (RIN) reform proposals within the proposed rule. |
