Curt Mether grows corn and soybeans with his wife, Anita, in Harrison and Monona Counties where he has been farming for 40 years.
Curt currently serves as the Iowa Corn Growers Association President and is the former Iowa Corn Research & Development Committee Chair.
He is also on the Middle East/African Action Team for the U.S. Grains Council and serves on the American Green Gas Board. He has also served on the Harrison County Fair Board, Harrison County REC, and Harrison County Extension Council.
Mether is also a member of the National Corn Growers Association, ICGA, U.S. Grains Council, Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Farm Bureau and American Green Gas. He enjoys educating the younger generation where he serves on the Harrison County Fair Board, teaches 5th and 6th grade Sunday school and is a strong supporter of the county 4-H program.
Curt enjoys helping ICGA create opportunities for long-term corn grower profitability. He is proud of how ICGA represents Iowa’s farmers and addresses their concerns to move the industry forward. He is particularly interested in the research of new genetics for corn.
Curt and his wife have three children and 10 grandchildren.
