Born and raised in Mondamin, IA Michael Ruffcorn is a corn and soybean farmer located in West Central Iowa. He attended South Dakota State University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and a minor in Agriculture Business. Upon completion, Michael returned to his home area where he had the opportunity to help manage a local farm for 5 years. During this time, his focus was on corn, popcorn, and soybean production. Today, Michael is continuing the legacy his father started by working for Echo Farms Incorporated. This corporation was created by his father, grandfather, and a family friend in 1990. Michael is a member of Farm Bureau and is currently serving on the Harrison County Farm Bureau board of directors. He is also a member of Heartland Cooperative Young Leaders. During his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
