
Jason Orr, District 3
Jason Orr is a fifth-generation farmer from Buchanan County, raising waxy corn, grass hay and 50 head of stock cows. He farms along with his father and son. On their farm for the past five years, they have used cover crops on every acre and strip-till.
Currently Jason serves as the Iowa Corn Promotion Board Director representing District 3 and as the Vice Chair of the Industrial Usage and U.S. Production Committee.
Jason has lived in northeast Iowa for his entire life and has had numerous experiences helping represent District 3. Currently he serves on the Buchanan County Corn Growers Board (2008-present), Buchanan County Fair Association Board (2022-present), Buchanan County Pork Producers Board (2003-2007) and is an active member of Iowa Corn Growers Association. He represents Iowa Corn on Americas Cultivation Corridor Board and on the Ethanol Action Team for the U.S. Grains and BioProducts Council. Jason is very passionate about corn production and will continue to fight to keep the demand for agriculture products high.
Jason and his wife Megan have three children Jaxtin, Kaydence and Jarret. Jarret and his wife Lauren farm with them. Outside of working on the farm Jason and his family enjoy golfing and attending concerts.
