
David Vandenberg, District 9
David Vandenberg farms in Lee County where he has raised corn and soybeans for the last 45 years and previously had a farrow to finish operation. He farms alongside his father and brother.
Currently David serves as the Iowa Corn Promotion Board Director representing District 9 and serves on the Industrial Usage & U.S. Production Committee.
David is a farm operations graduate from Iowa State University and was a founding member of Iowa Quality Agriculture Growers (IQAG) ISO 9002. He has continued to stay up to date with the farming technology advances and currently use RTK, and WAAS GPS systems on their farm.
Since, 1999 David has been an active member of ICGA and currently serves as Vice President of the Lee County Corn Growers, on the District 9 Committee and as a delegate for the annual Grassroots Summit. He is also a former board member for the Lee County Fair and Lee County Republican Committee member. Off the farm, he also serves as a Sharon Presbyterian Church elder, trustee for the Sharon Cemetery Association and member and former tournament director of Lake Cooper Angling Association.
David and his wife Michelle have two children, Haley and Colton. Both of his children hold degrees in Agricultural Studies and are engaged in jobs within the agriculture industry.
