Lance Lillibridge, District 6

Lance Lillibridge has been farming in Benton County for 24 years, growing corn and alfalfa as well as a red angus cow/calf herd. On his farm, Lance employs several conservation practices including strip tillage and planting and grazing cover crops for 20 years. Lance also previously owned a trucking company with 40 employees.

Lance serves as the Iowa Corn Promotion Board Director representing District 6 and on the Industrial Usage Committee.

Lance previously served as the Iowa Corn Growers Association Director representing District 6 and served as ICGA President. He also served for five years on the U.S. Grains and BioProducts Council’s Trade Policy Team and as Co-Chair on the NASA Acres Fiat Mission. In 2023, he helped coordinate a visit for NASA scientists to experience Iowa agriculture, highlighting the efficiency of modern corn production. This effort led to continued engagement with the science community. He is also a member of the Iowa Farm Bureau and currently chairs a group of corn states that are working on antitrust issues in agriculture. He previously volunteered as deacon at his local church and often helps local FFA chapters with projects.

He and his wife, Heidi, homeschooled both of their children, sharing if they can survive that and both children excel in adulthood, then he feels there is nothing he can’t take on for the corn industry. He firmly believes that failure and challenges are necessary to be successful. Through his service with the Iowa Corn Growers Association, Lance shares he has gained experience at the local, district, state, and national levels while building a broad network of industry professionals across the globe.

Lance shared that, if elected, he will continue to advocate for developing new markets and uses for corn as Iowa farmers produce larger crops. He emphasized the importance of maintaining profitability, highlighting the role of the Iowa Corn Promotion Board and the need to work alongside ICGA on policies that support farmers. He is ready to bring his experience, perspective, and passion to serve Iowa corn farmers and would be honored to represent District 6 as an ICPB Director.

Lance and his wife have two children, Tess studies at the University of Illinois and Ty is involved in the farm.
