Welcome Bloggers to 2013 CornQuest - AMAIZING

The 2013 CornQuest is about uncovering something AMAIZING in Iowa. This is the fourth tour and it looks like another great group. We will be spending a couple days on a farm, but making friends and memories that will last much longer. As we travel, the bloggers expenses will be covered by Iowa Corn, but their blog posts, tweets, facebook, instagram, and more are all their own. Bloggers arrive Tuesday, October 8

5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Dinner with Iowa Pork at Madison County Winery

Wednesday, October 9

8:00 a.m. - Breakfast at Gateway Market- Des Moines

10 a.m. - Couser Cattle Company (tour farm: livestock, combine/tractor rides, discuss ethanol, DDGs)

12:00 p.m. - Lunch with Iowa Beef

2:30 p.m. - Iowa Speedway (Ethanol discussion, race around track)

6:30 p.m. - Dinner at Iowa Historical Society (Baratta’s)

Thursday, October 10

8 a.m. - 11 a.m. - Breakfast at Meredith with Dr. MacDonald (Chair of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Iowa State University) and tour of Meredith

11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cooking Beef and Pork blogger recipes at Hy-Vee- Fleur in Des Moines

2:00 p.m. - Event wrap-up and depart for airport
