Members of the Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) recently came together to help drive ICGA policy change by participating in ICGA’s roundtable meetings. The meetings were held in nine locations throughout Iowa. Growers discussed the policies that ICGA should support or oppose.
Prior to the roundtables, ICGA members completed a survey on policy issues as well. Discussion at the roundtable meetings included the Farm Bill, crop
insurance and conservation compliance, fuel tax and road use infrastructure, the estate tax, water and land use issues and more. Policies that are approved at the local level go on to the ICGA Annual Policy Conference in August. |
