Nominate a Farmer for the 2013 Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Award

The Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Award recognizes farmers who have taken steps within their operations to improve or protect the environment and natural resources.  Improving these resources is very important for future generations and Iowa farmers take great pride in caring for the soil and water within our state.


Nomination forms can be found on the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship's website at www.iowaagriculture.gov/EnvironmentalLeader.asp. Nominations are due July 1, 2013. We strongly encourage you to nominate your friend, neighbor or even yourself! Take pride in recognizing those who care for the resources that help grow the food we eat.

The Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Award is a joint effort between the Governor, Lt. Governor, the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to recognize the voluntary efforts of Iowa’s farmers who are improving soil and water quality.
