Sara Ross - CommonGround Volunteer

Sara Ross is a CommonGround volunteer living in Minden, Iowa with her husband and two young sons.  She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and works as a marketing manager at an insurance agency. Although Sara doesn’t work on the farm every day, when she does help, she enjoys helping in their corn, soybean and hay fields. She also enjoys caring for their 75 head of cattle.


Some of Sara’s favorite farm chores include hauling grain out of the field during harvest or helping deliver a calf in frigid winter temperatures.

Sara is committed to using her blog to share her everyday life on the farm with anyone wanting more information about how their food is produced.  When Sara isn’t farming or working at the insurance agency, she enjoys traveling, photography, snow skiing, crafts, hunting and reading.
