Iowa Corn CAT Team Visits State Capitol

Posted on February 18, 2013 at 8:06 PM by Iowa Corn

Last week, the Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team (CAT) toured the Iowa State Capitol and learned about Iowa Corn’s legislative priorities for 2013. In addition the group met and gave input on Iowa Corn membership programs and provided updates on how Iowa Corn Collegiate groups are starting in several of their respective colleges. CAT also worked on recruiting Iowa Corn members. The Iowa Corn CAT team includes students who are pursuing degrees related to agriculture at Iowa’s colleges and universities, and who are preparing for careers in agriculture production and allied industries. Team members participate in programs developed by the Iowa Corn Growers Association and the Iowa Corn Promotion Board, to learn more about the Iowa Corn organization and the challenges and opportunities present in the agricultural sector.
