The Environmental Protection Agency Maintain the Renewable Fuel Standard

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 2:14 PM by Iowa Corn

Today, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chose to continue their progress toward a more energy secure nation by maintaining the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) -- the single most important policy for finding alternatives to foreign oil.

They voiced their concerns about the calls to roll back that progress -- and the EPA listened. They are grateful to Administrator Jackson and her colleagues at the EPA for making the right decision in reaffirming the RFS as a vital part of their energy policy.

America's RFS has spurred billions of dollars of investment in new technology for advanced and conventional renewable fuel. It has strengthened America's rural economies and communities by more than 400,000 jobs, and helped save $50 billion on imported fuel costs. The proof that the RFS works is all around us.

Join them in thanking the EPA for its continued support of the RFS as an integral part of America's renewable fuel future: http://www.fuelsamerica.org/sign-the-thank-you-letter
