In north-central Iowa, Chris Edgington farms with his father, brother and son near St. Ansgar. They raise corn and soybeans. His son custom feeds cattle and raises meat goats. Chris enjoys the work and responsibility of being a farmer. He recognizes there will continue to be opportunities and challenges in farming.
“I like helping feed the world,” he says. “I enjoy being my own boss and working with my family as well. I think the future of Iowa agriculture looks very bright.”
Chris contributes his time to agriculture groups and organizations. He is a graduate of the Iowa Corn Leadership and Enhancement Development Program (ILEAD) and also serves as a director for the Iowa Corn Promotion Board, representing Crop Reporting District 2.
