Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska Corn Famers Participate in Texas Corn Mission

Recently, corn farmers from Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska met with cattle feeders in the Texas panhandle. While in Texas, the group also met with a local cooperative and water district. Because of the ongoing drought in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma the farmers were discussing increased shipments of corn and DDGs from Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska into the area.
Below, Kelly Brunkhorst, from the Nebraska Corn Board, discusses what they saw while they were in Texas and some of the things that they heard from end users.
