The Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series comes to Iowa City this week with the highly-anticipated match-ups between the Cyclones and Hawkeyes in Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball and Wrestling. Iowa Corn Growers Association and the Iowa Corn Promotion Board are honored to partner with Learfield on behalf of both Iowa State University and the University of Iowa Athletic Departments for the title sponsorship of the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series which highlights the competition between these two great universities, while educating Iowans on the essential role that corn plays in Iowa’s economy, for food, fuel, and fiber.

During half-time at the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series Men’s Basketball on Thursday, December 8, one lucky fan will receive a grand prize of $4,000 in groceries through the Iowa Corn Grocery Giveaway. Nearly 4,000 Iowans entered at iowacorn.org/cyhawk2016 from August to November. Finalists include:

Fans are encouraged to use the 3 point cards during the game, which includes a unique coupon to enjoy a special edition Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk soda at the concession stand.

2016 marks the sixth year of the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series, which tracks the head-to-head match-ups between the two universities, with each victory earning points toward the overall series championship. Iowa Corn developed the CORN: IT’S EVERYTHING campaign to educate consumers about all the amazing things that come from corn. To expand the campaign this year, Iowa Corn has partnered with the Iowa Nice Guy, Scott Siepker, to do game promotions and a video series geared towards the hot topics surrounding corn and Iowa’s corn farmers.

Corn is used to make more than 4,000 everyday products – everything from bacon cheeseburgers, to soap and lipstick, fireworks and even fuel for your vehicle! It all contains corn and is grown by farmers in our great state.
