Iowa’s CommonGround Women Farmers Host Ladies Night Out

The night of Friday, September 14 served as a special occasion for several women farmers with the CommonGround Program as they hosted a contingent of Iowa’s leading ladies at their ‘Ladies Night Out’ event on Julie Van Manen's farm outside of Kellogg. Women decision makers, media personalities, reporters, chefs, fellow farmers, bloggers, and mothers came out for a night out on the farm with the CommonGround volunteers.

Blue the Corn-Fed Steer to Strut his Stuff at the Iowa State Fair

Where else would a more than 1,000-pound beautiful beefcake of a steer go to strut his stuff than the Iowa State Fair? The Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) is proud to sponsor Blue the Corn-Fed Steer at this year’s Iowa State Fair Governor’s Charity Steer Show on Saturday, August 11.

Reminder: Farmers Encouraged to Vote in Corn Checkoff Director Elections on July 17

The Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) will hold director elections in Crop Reporting Districts 4, 5, 8, and 9 on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Iowa corn farmers elect their peers to serve on the ICPB to oversee the investment of funds generated by the Iowa corn checkoff. Voting will take place at their local county ISU extension office for their representation on the Iowa Corn Promotion Board for a 3-year term.

Iowa Corn Thanks It’s Members and the Fans for Another Great Ethanol Powered Iowa Corn 300

Promoting ethanol to a worldwide audience, yesterday’s 12th running of the Iowa Corn 300 will be one for the record books. James Hinchcliffe brought home his second win at the Iowa Corn 300 taking the lead with just over 40 laps remaining. This year’s race also included many unique aspects showcasing Iowa Corn farmers and the corn-based ethanol that fuels IndyCars.
