ICGA Congratulations to Amanda DeJong as the New Iowa State Director of USDA FSA

November 3, 2017

STATEMENT FROM
IOWA CORN GROWERS ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT MARK RECKER

On behalf of Iowa’s corn farmers, I would like to congratulate Amanda DeJong on her appointment by President Trump to serve as the Iowa State Executive Director of the United States Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency. DeJong joined the Iowa Corn staff in 2011 as the Senior Policy Advisor and has been a key team member working on behalf of Iowa Corn Growers Association members on the Farm Bill, crop insurance, the Renewable Fuels Standard and trade.

In her role as the Executive Director, DeJong will lead our state in the delivery of federal farm programs as enacted by Congress. DeJong will manage the state FSA office as well as local county offices throughout the state of Iowa.

We look forward to working with Amanda in her new role on several key priorities of the Iowa Corn Growers Association members such as implementation of the Farm Bill.
