Wayne Humphreys raises corn, soybeans and operates a custom hog feeding operation near Columbus Junction in Louisa County where he has been farming for over 40 years.
Wayne currently serves as the Iowa Corn Promotion Board Chair and is the former chair of the Iowa Corn Exports & The Grain Trade Committee as well as the Animal Ag & Environment Committee.
He is currently a member of the Iowa Corn Growers Association, an Iowa Farm Bureau Association member and enjoys volunteering with the Muscatine FFA Chapter. In 2019, Wayne was elected to the U.S. Grains Council Board of Directors.
He has been the president of the Louisa County Cattleman’s Association, a director for the Mississippi Valley Farm Business Association, a member of the Farm Credit Nominating Committee as well as a National FFA Officer. Wayne has served on the National Corn Growers Association Research and Market Access Committees as well as on the Western Hemisphere & Policy Development for the U.S. Grains Council. He is proud to have represented Iowa Corn in 10 countries in the last five years.
In addition to farming, Wayne is a member of the National Speakers Association and the United Methodist Church. Wayne and his wife, Sherry, have three children.
