Darla Recker

Darla Recker has been farming in Fayette County for over 36 years, raising corn, soybeans, and seed corn. Along with her husband Tim, their farm is actively using no till, cover crops, and other conservation tactics to build soil health and improve water quality.  

Darla serves as the Iowa Corn Promotion Board Director representing District 3 and on the Industrial Usage & U.S. Production Committee. 

Darla is an active as a member of the Fayette County Corn Growers Association, Soybean Association, and Famer Bureau. She also serves as an Oelwein Chamber Board member, Positively Oelwein Chairperson, Treasurer of Oelwein Area Chamber and Economic Development, and Sacred Heart School Board  President.  

Darla and Tim have three married children, Ashley, Chelsey, and Jordan, and four grandchildren.
