James Greif farms near Monticello in Linn County where he raises corn and soybeans and has been farming for 41 years. He is also the owner of Praireview Ag Service and is a certified crop advisor.
Jim serves as the Iowa Corn Growers Association President and is the past chair of the Industrial Usage and U.S. Production Committee.
He has served on the Linn County Farm Bureau Board of Directors for the past 37 years and is also a member of both the Iowa Corn Growers Association and the Iowa Soybean Association. Past activities include serving on the American Farm Bureau National Task Force on Information Technology, the Iowa Farm Bureau Wildlife committee. He is also the past president and a voting delegate for the Linn County Farm Bureau.
Jim is a volunteer fire fighter for Prairieburg Fire Department, a Boulder Township Trustee and Board President for Fire District No. 4. He is on the Cedar Rapids Airport Board of Adjustment as well as a member of and currently serves as the vice-president of the National Rumely Tractor Collectors Club.
Jim and his wife, Sharon, have three children, Peter, Nick and Katie.
