Nick is a seventh-generation family farmer from Huxley, Iowa. He grew up raising corn, soy, and farrow to finish hogs. Nick attended Iowa State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural studies and a minor in agronomy. After college, Nick worked to add his own acres to the farm and bought a 3300 head swine operation and is a currently a grower for JBS Pork. Off the farm, Nick worked for Monsanto/Bayer Crop Sciences for 12 years and is currently working as the designed field research lead for the Climate Corporation. He designs and drives crop experiments to help develop new digital tools for farmers. Nick currently lives near the family farm in Huxley with his wife, Cara and son Grant.
