Emily graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in agricultural business and applied economics, with a minor in consumer affairs. During college, she spent time working for Cargill, cattle ranching in Kansas, and studying international agriculture in the Czech Republic. Her love for business, and the desire to make a difference, led her to Union Pacific Railroad where she began her career. Since, she has worked in various business units including Intermodal, Food & Refrigerated, Energy, Grain, and Grain Products. Currently, she resides in Mason City as an agricultural sales manager, managing a book of business worth over $450M in revenue. Emily serves as secretary for the Cerro Gordo County GOP Central Committee and as a board member for Iowa Corn District 2. Emily, and her husband, Maverick, own their own real estate and property management business. They have three awesome kids; Branson, Ellee, and Rylee. In her spare time, she enjoys engaging with her church community, speaking at women’s retreats, reading, and traveling. She is proud to be a part of the agricultural community, and proud to be an American!
