Grant Program
Adding value to Iowa corn is a growing business. To facilitate this
expansion, the Iowa Corn Promotion Board is offering a new grant program. The
Value-Added Iowa Corn Grant Program
provides financial assistance to existing and startup businesses that
will increase the use of corn. Feasibility and marketing studies,
business plans, process technology and product development are among
the qualifying projects, with a percentage of the total project being
awarded as a grant to applicants meeting the ICPB's criteria. Details
about the program and the application process are available in a PDF
document that can be downloaded from the list of Market
Development Materials.
Livestock Assessment
Through livestock
assessment, the committee works to increase the use of corn
and processed corn products in beef, dairy beef, swine and poultry
feeds, as well as to identify opportunities for identity-preserved
corn in these species.
Corn
Processing/Ethanol Plant Initiative
The Corn Processing/Ethanol Plant Initiative
assists in expanding the corn processing industry by establishing
new processing facilities, supporting value-added product marketing,
partnering with corn processors, identifying potential new products,
and facilitating product commercialization.
